Standing on The Edge Y/A Open Call
Years ago, the rock band Skid Row released a song entitled 18 and Life. While maybe not the most positive spin on what awaits young adults, it does embody the tenor of their lives. They are standing on the edge of adulthood, and their entire life is spread before them. Every choice, every decision, holds the potential to influence what the future has in store.
We want your coming-of-age stories, those stories where summer seems endless, best friends are forever, and life is like a giant roller coaster that you’re terrified to ride but are willing to take the chance on anyway.
Submissions Open: August 1, 2012
Submissions Close: October 1, 2013
This call is ongoing, and all relationship pairings will be accepted.
Story Length: 15,000 to 30,000 words.
Longer manuscripts will be considered but will have to be extraordinary.
